There will be a wine reception on Sunday 5th September at The Hospitium, 6pm-8pm (see “about York” for a map showing its location). This is a few minutes' walk from the conference venue, and delegates will be able to pick up their conference packs at the reception (as well as each morning at the conference venue). A map showing the location of the Royal York Hotel and The Hospitium will be posted in due course.

There will be a “pub crawl” on Monday 6th September leaving the hotel at 8pm. Full details are in the welcome packs. Three groups will leave the hotel for different pubs, from where they can split into smaller groups to visit local restaurants before meeting up after dinner in a central pub prior to closing time.

The conference dinner will take place on Tuesday 7th September in the conference hotel. The cost will be £40 per head (optionally collected when you register online for the conference). The cost includes welcome drinks and canapés, 3-course meal, wine, and coffee. NB. Registration for dinner is now closed (1st September) as the Chef needed sufficient notice to order in the food.

Although no further social events will be organized through the conference, there are a variety of tours through York that are worth taking - particularly the Ghost Walks (not recommended for the easily startled...). See places to eat, drink, visit... in the menu to the left.
